Hi Everyone,
The L3DTio_Atlas2 plugin has been updated to support Matt Kronyak's 8 texture layer blended Atlas mod. To use the 8-texture atlas option, simply enable the 'I have compiled TGEA with the 8 textures resource' check-box in the Atlas export dialog. [Note: You have to select the 'blended' profile before this option will be available.]
Of course, for this option to work, you must have actually re-compiled your TGEA executable to include the resource. Also, for this to be of any benefit, you should also have (re)generated your alpha maps so that they contain up to 8 layers.
The updated plugin is included with the latest developmental build of L3DT Professional (v2.5.0.5, 6th of Nov '08). Users of L3DT for Torque may get access to the updated version by e-mailing aaron@bundysoft.com.
I should also mention that the plugin has some more rigorous data-validation checks to make sure that your map settings are correct before the plugin calls TGEA to generate the Atlas file. This should, one hopes, help identify and assist users in solving some common Atlas problems.
Please reply to this thread if you find any problems.
Best regards,
Aaron.
